Doc24 ("we", "our", or "us") is operated as a sole proprietorship. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Doc24 platform - a doctor appointment booking service available at our website. By using Doc24, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

We collect the following information when you register or use Doc24: • Identity & Contact: Full name, email address, and phone number provided during signup. • Role Information: Whether you are a Patient, Doctor, or Receptionist. • Authentication Data: Hashed passwords or Google OAuth tokens (we never store your Google password). • Appointment Data: Details of appointments you book, manage, or are associated with. • Doctor Profile Data: For doctors - specialisation, registration number, availability slots, clinic details, and profile information submitted during onboarding. • Usage Data: Page views and general interaction data collected through our own internal analytics tool (Versatile Analysis). We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking service.

We use the information we collect to: • Create and manage your account on the platform. • Enable appointment booking, management, and communication between patients and doctors. • Send transactional emails such as OTP verification, appointment confirmations, and password reset links via PHPMailer/SMTP. • Analyse platform usage internally to improve features and performance. • Respond to support queries or technical issues. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google's OAuth service. We use this information solely to create or authenticate your Doc24 account. We do not access your Google contacts, Drive, Gmail, or any other Google services beyond basic profile information. Google's use of your data is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy

Doc24 uses an internally built analytics tool called Versatile Analysis to understand how users interact with the platform. This tool collects anonymised page view data and general usage patterns. It does not track you across other websites, does not build advertising profiles, and does not share data with any external service.

We send transactional emails using PHPMailer over SMTP. These emails include OTP codes for account verification, password reset links, and appointment-related notifications. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties. The only exception is the minimum data shared with Google's OAuth infrastructure during sign-in, governed by Google's own policies. We may disclose information if required by applicable law, court order, or government authority.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational reasons (such as resolving disputes).

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including password hashing and secure token-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
